About The Sustainable Life Learning Center
Because I grew up in the era of concern for the environment, I have always done things like plant a small garden, recycle plastic, buy food from bulk bins,
and drive a small car. But after I lost my home to a wildfire in the Southern California mountains during a long drought period, I got really serious about living my life in ways that can sustain and rejuvenate the planet.

It has taken me several years to work through a learning period of what works, what doesn't, what is way too much to even try, and does it really matter; is there anything I can realistically do that can make a difference?

Over the years, I have come up with several ideas, experimented with the ideas, retained many of them and discarded some of them. That is what this website is all about. The pages of this site discuss the ideas I have stayed with.

I am now 72 years old and I can't grow as big a garden as I used to, or weave as many gifts as I used to, but I still do what I can because these ideas have made a very good impact on my life. And I continue to share them with others because I have learned that my sharing always leaves an impact on the way others think about living a more sustainable life.
